(Adel, Cook County, Georgia, March 2, 2021) – Arthur P. Barry III, SIOR, with Coldwell Banker Commercial Eberhardt & Barry, Inc. of Macon, Georgia, brokered the sale of the former Hebel-Xella Aircrete North America manufacturing facility, producer of lightweight aerated concrete building products, located at 2400 Hebel Boulevard in Adel, Georgia. Based in Germany, the Hebel Company mothballed this state of the art manufacturing facility during the recession. The purchaser is Georgia CLSB, LLC.
The Xella Aircrete property, located in the southeast corner of Interstate 75 and GA Highway 216, contains 91,000± square feet on 40.5 acres of land. Built by the German company in 2000 and fully equipped with state-of-the-art casting and kilns, the plant employed upwards of 300 employees. Hebel has similar plants located around the world.
