(Macon, Bibb County, Georgia, August 9, 2019) – Art Barry III, SIOR with Coldwell Banker Commercial Eberhardt & Barry, Inc. of Macon, Georgia, brokered the sale of the former Macon Telegraph Publishing Company located at 120 Broadway Street in Macon, Georgia.
In 2006, The Telegraph was acquired by The McClatchy Company. The Telegraph operated for over 100 years and published news at this location to Middle Georgia until 2004 at which time production processes were moved to Columbus, Georgia. Other Telegraph employees relocated from this location to the former Bank of America facility downtown Macon in 2014. A local investor was the purchaser of this property and intends to lease the property for various business uses.
The Macon Telegraph Publishing Company property contains 140,800 square feet on 4.3 acres of land bounded by Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Riverside Drive and Broadway Street.
